Motor Oil & Lubricants
Techne’s electric Blow Molding Machines enable the production of plastic containers and jerrycans for various markets, including the industrial sector, with applications in lubricant and motor oil packaging.
Specific applications and materials.
Applications in the industrial sector include motor oil and lubricants, designed to ensure resistance, safety, and reliability during storage and transportation.
Bottles and jerrycans can be produced using various plastic materials, including LDPE, HMWPE, HDPE, and PP, in both monolayer and multilayer versions up to COEX-6. Industrial bottles and jerrycans can be produced using Techne’s Extrusion Blow Molding machines from the E-LINE and TK-LINE series, the latter being ideal for producing jerrycans up to 30 liters.
Examples of Industrial packaging

Why choose Blow Molding for the Industrial sector?
HDPE containers withstand lubricants and resist impacts and pressure during transportation and storage.
Ideal for large volumes, reducing time and cost compared to other hollow container manufacturing processes.
Allows ergonomic shapes, integrated handles, and view stripes for easy liquid level monitoring without compromising packaging strength.
Our Blow Molding machines
Parison Radial Adjustment, ultra-efficient jerrycans.
The P.R.A. (Parison Radial Adjustment) system, applicable to the TK-LINE series, reduces excess plastic material, accelerates production cycles through thinner walls, and decreases deformation caused by uneven cooling. The result is lighter, more resistant, and higher-performing jerrycans, increasing market competitiveness.

Fast Cooling for traditional molds.
When more efficient cooling is needed in lubricant packaging production, Techne recommends combining compressed air recirculation with a cross-flow heat exchanger, dedicated blowing nozzles, and optimized mechanical and pneumatic components. This reduces cycle time and increases productivity.
Motor Oil, Fast Color change.
Motor oil jerrycans are often produced in different shades, making fast color changes essential for efficient and sustainable production. Techne has implemented a dedicated PVD coating on the extrusion head to reduce friction between plastic and metal, speeding up color changes during production.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Yes. Thanks to P.R.A., a radial parison adjustment system implementable on the TK-LINE series, which optimizes material distribution, allows thinner and more uniform walls, reduces deformation, and produces lighter, stronger, and higher-performing jerrycans.
Yes. The combination of compressed air recirculation technology and a cross-flow heat exchanger enables much faster cooling of compressed air, reducing cycle times. This system does not require special molds.
In addition to the compressed air recirculation system included in Techne machines, there are now new types of molds with shell cooling technology, designed to maximize cooling speed and improve container quality. These solutions are among the most widely used in high-productivity industrial applications, such as jerrycan production, thanks to their ability to reduce cycle times, increase product quality, and improve production consistency.
