Our Company.
Founded in 1985 in Bologna, Techne Packaging is an Italian manufacturer of Extrusion Blow Molding machines for the production of plastic containers in the industrial, cosmetic, chemical, and food sectors.
The company stands out for its high build quality and final product optimization. Over 1,100 machines have been installed in more than 60 countries.

Story
1985 – Techne Founded in Italy
Techne was established in Bologna as an innovative company in the Extrusion Blow Molding.
1987 – In-Mold Labeling (IML) System
Introduction of the IML system, with labels integrated into bottles during the molding process.
1990 – First Coex-3 Head
Design of the first Coex-3 head, enabling the production of bottles with up to 3 layers.
1994 – First Coex-6 Head
Design of the first Coex-6 head, for the production of bottles and containers with up to 6 layers.
1998 – Sterile Blow Molding System
Introduction of the sterile blowing system to ensure high quality and safety standards in the food and pharmaceutical sectors.
2000 – Combi ALLPACK EBM, Filling and Capping Machine
Launch of the Combi ALLPACK model, a single solution integrating filling and capping directly into the blow molding machine.
2004 – Fast Cooling System
The Air Circulation System integrated into Techne machines improves product quality and production speed.
2007 – ADVANCE, Fully Electric Machine
Launch of the ADVANCE series, Techne’s range of full electric extrusion blow molding machines.
2008 – First ROTAX Machine with Mechatronic Rotary Wheel
A major milestone for the industry: the ROTAX rotary mechatronic machine designed for high-volume production.
2011 – ADV Full Electric, Second Generation
Launch of the second generation of the fully electric model, featuring significant improvements in energy performance.
2017 – First Pharmaceutical EBM Machine ISO 8
Techne enters the pharmaceutical sector with its first EBM machine compliant with ISO 8 standards for sterile environments.
2019 – E-LINE Series, New Full Electric Range with Unique Design
Introduction of the E-LINE series, a fully electric machine range with a modern and innovative design.
2021 – P.R.A., Parison Radial Adjustment
Implementation of the P.R.A. system, allowing precise and dynamic parison adjustment, improving the quality of plastic containers.
2022 – New Compact Model E-380
Launch of the E-380 model, offering a compact and efficient solution for smaller production spaces without compromising quality.
2024 – Clamping Force Automation
Innovation with the automatic CFA system, which stores the clamping force in the selected bottle recipe, adjustable via PLC.
2025 – New E-1250 Model for Large-Scale Production
Launch of the E-1250 model, an ultra-high-performance machine designed for large-scale production.

How did the name Techne come about?
The name Techne comes from the Greek term τέχνη (téchne), meaning art, craft, technique, and skill.
